A4's always a joy to be with.
They stuck with me while I was not the most bearable person one can meet.
We don't meet up often, we don't catch up much.
We use facebook (at least Paul and I facebook msg each other quite often),
we use MSN, we use blogs.
The physical distance doesn't seem to matter.
The 4th dimension doesn't seem to change things.

Because when we meet, some things, really never change.
We had to wait for Paul, as usual [but poor him! he had lots of work to clear.. and he was on duty the whole of last night].
We bullied Joan, as usual.
We asked Pingu about her other half, as usual.
I laughed, as usual.

We met up in IMM, then made an impromptu decision to go to my house :)
Had so much fun just slacking and chilling out!
It's not too much of the place, more of the people.
I won't see them till December, I might not see Paul till next June or till..... end of my course.

But somehow I have the confidence that some things, are never going to change:)

I love A4!

Anyway, really wanted to meet Li Jia for dinner! :( But I had a family dinner also, only knew last minute. Sorry Li Jia!!! Somehow even though she knew my actual date of return, I haven't been able to meet up with her at all :/ Next thursday ok!

unlock my heart
On Monday, I ate tako yaki for MINYI with Ming Swin and Tze Yi at Sakae Buffet.

On Tuesday, I ate yam rings, herbal chicken, sambal kangkong and jiang cong yu pian with my dearest friends from La Trobe.. And baobaocha & ice-cream @ island creamery! great to meet Bevvie again! wished Christabel you could join us!!!

Today, I ate CHICKEN RICE for Faezah with Yah Ting!
Faezah's so enjoying herself in Gold Coast right now :))
Ran into WEN YI,
ZHAN PEI (I forgot/didn't know that he was coming back from Australia!)
and MONG JUN DAR (who was so shocked that Tze Yi actually goes out :P) :D

I think Singapore is seriously too small.

Anyway, got to eat bak chor mee with pig liver for dearest Pei Yueng soon :D

Or maybe I should stop eating so much :X

Life's been great man, but I do think I prefer Australia more xP
Been happy, and sad.

I think it has been established that as time passes, it becomes evident who stays in our lives and who doesn't. Like Yah Ting suggested, "just look at our parents, how many of them still have their friends around them?", and "going overseas just speeds up the process". But I think the question here, for now and for me, is who I choose to let stay, and who I choose to let go. It could be because I'm just disappointed, or it could be just be my defence mechanism.

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer yet.

foreign, yet familiar.

Went back to Covenant with Yah Ting today, something that I've been looking forward to for sometime. It was great to be back, really. It was just so good to be back in that familiar place. Familiar faces, knowing people around makes me feel so much more at home than at any other churches. But yet lots of new faces, lots of new people - a sign of multiplication. Feels a bit foreign, and scary even, to see so many people around. But still great. Really glad to be back :]

Fellowship with CG, catching up with old mates and meeting the new ones feels pretty good too. The same old familiar feeling, but yet a little foreign.

It was so nice to talk to all of them, especially to Wendy and Jie Qiang over lunch today. Suddenly we were talking metaphorically, but we could still understand each other perfectly. Suddenly we can change from topic 1 to topic 2, then back to topic 1, so ever smoothly. Suddenly it seems so easy for me to open up to them.

But I've learnt not to hang on, because while I'm away I know that things change and distance, not only physical distance, increases. I cannot, and won't, be selfish when it comes to letting go of a heart that too many people try to tug on. If there's no more space in that heart for me, I'd choose to let go and.. stop looking backwards. It's good to occasionally glance back, but keep my eyes focused on the future. This is something that God spoke specifically to me about during last Sunday's service at Northside.

I've got a great God who knows the best for me, a God who gives me more than what He takes away. I'm extremely thankful for the people and things He blessed me with, even when things change or are being taken away after I left this place.

Jie Qiang says wait and see. Maybe, I guess.

Surprises are so fun =P

And after 3-4 days since reaching home... I can finally announce this:

I AM HOME.

(I had to delete like 4 wall posts on facebook because I didn't want people to know I'm back yet :/ I was supposed to reach only on 29th night)
